Terms and Conditions

Food and Drinks

No food or drinks, other than a water bottle and a small crunch and sip fruit snack

Bookings‍

Bookings should be made through our class page and are not confirmed until we send a confirmation email with a term invoice. Invoices are due prior to 2 weeks prior to class commencement to secure your place.

Missed Classes

We understand children get sick and holidays happen – and are needed. We will guarantee one make-up class during the same term and if possible we will endeavour to make a second make up class available subject to availability in the same age group.

Attendance

Please arrive 5 minutes before class to ensure children are settled and ready for class and have used the bathroom if needed. If you know you will be absent please call or text us to let us know. This ensures we are aware and also allows us to offer that space to any one needing a make-up session.

Pick Up and Drop Off

The Language Trail requires confirmation on a written sheet at the class entrance or you will be collecting your child from class if it is not the authorised parent/s on the registration sheet. This is to ensure your child’s safety. If an unknown adult comes to collect a child all we can do is phone for confirmation and/or take the adult’s details if a phone call is not possible ask that you be conscious of telling The Language Trail staff who will pick your child up to ensure your child’s welfare.

Health

Any health issues such as a diagnosis for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, depression, speech diagnosis etc.
It must be declared to The Language Trail so we can ensure your child receives the best education.
It is not the purpose of The Language Trail to diagnose any learning difficulties your child may have but in working with your child we may notice your child struggling and discuss our concerns with you.

Medication

The The Language Trail needs to be informed of any medical conditions (that may effect your child), when a booking is made. If a new medical concern arises that may affect the child while attending then this information must be given to The Language Trail but The Language Trail does not administer general medications to children. A child left with the Language Trail with asthma or anaphylactic medication will be cared for as best as possible – all our staff have First Aid training. Please make sure your child’s EpiPen or asthma medication is left with staff prior to the commencement of their lesson. Please be aware The Language Trail takes no responsibility if the environment through resources used, triggers an episode of asthma or an anaphylactic response in a child or caregiver visiting. Should a child have an Asthmatic or anaphylactic episode, our staff will contact Parents/Guardians and contact appropriate medical services (at parents expense).

At various times children may be cooking or using food as a reinforcement of a knowledge experience so please check at all times if you have concerns either in your email, on our noticeboard or other means that may be decided upon.

Video

The Language Trail may video classroom activity for training purposes and child protection.
